Web Production & Publishing
Web production and publishing is the process of creating and publishing original content on the Internet, and includes building and uploading websites, updating the associated webpages, and posting content to these webpages.
To ensure that BD's digital presence meets the omnichannel expectations, the CDA has a well-defined process for creating and releasing content on the platform. The process includes utilizing industry-standard Agile websites development practices such as SCRUM and managing a backlog of roadmap initiatives and ongoing platform improvements through software tools like Jira. The content and development team follows a similar methodology. The Digital Delivery Team collaborates with the team on a weekly basis to establish timelines and guidelines for upcoming roadmap initiatives that go beyond their daily tasks.
The Agile approach is a project management strategy that involves dividing a project into multiple stages. It emphasizes consistent engagement with stakeholders and ongoing enhancement throughout each stage. Teams follow a cycle of planning, executing, and assessing once they commence work.
Jira is a collection of agile tools for managing work that enhances teamwork among all departments, from idea to client, enabling everyone to work together and perform their best. Jira provides a variety of deployment options and products designed for specific teams such as Web, Software, IT, Business, and Ops teams.
Currently, the publishing process entails a group of authorized business publishers supported by a specialized DDA authoring team to cater to evolving digital platform requirements and intricate design needs. These business publishers undergo a certification procedure including hands-on Adobe training, team activities, and regular meetings. Additionally, a support model is in place, which includes weekly office hours with the DDA team. Once certified, various tools are accessible to assist in content creation, such as page formulas, character limits, and digital brand guidelines.

These requests could be in the form of backlog items or smaller ticketed needs, or they may be part of a larger omnichannel project that the business is driving in collaboration with our Digital Delivery Team. Our DDA Product Development team and pre-approved DDA development partners handle all platform development.
